Mr. Tejpal Ranka has been the catalyst behind Ranka Jewellers’ modern transformation. Beginning his journey at the Ravivar Peth outlet, he spent over 15 years mastering every aspect of the jewellery trade.

His bold vision led to the landmark 15,000 sq. ft. PCMC store in 2008, firmly establishing Ranka Jewellers as a national brand. The expansion into Chinchwad further strengthened the brand’s presence in the Pune region.

Continuing this momentum, Mr. Tejpal Ranka has now guided the launch of the new Chakan store—another significant milestone reflecting the brand’s growth and community-focused values.

From national awards to the Guinness World Record gold shirt, his leadership seamlessly blends innovation, tradition, and unwavering trust.

Gold Shirt – Guinness World Record

A pure-gold Shirt designed and made by Tejpal Ranka entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the first most expensive shirt worth 1.27 crores in February 2013. 18 skilled artisans from West Bengal pieced together 14,000 gold spangles and interweaved 1 lakh rings on a specially imported white velvet cloth along with 6 Swarovski crystals as buttons. The total weight of this 42-size shirt was 3.5 kg, including a belt weighing 325 gm. The design challenge was to make it as comfortable as any other piece of functional clothing. Thus, the golden wonder was created.

Gold Paithani Saree – The Golden Heritage Masterpiece

Ranka Jewellers pioneered a Gold Paithani Saree crafted with approximately 1.5 kg of pure gold and weighing about 1,140 grams. Eight artisans used 1,800 dye threads over 15 days to create this elegant masterpiece, designed by Anil Ranka and launched by Vidya Balan, valued at ₹50 lakh.

Gold Mask – The 22K Artistry Innovation

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Ranka Jewellers created a unique N-95 Gold Mask as a symbol of innovation and craftsmanship. Made with 22-carat gold, the detachable necklace on the mask weighs approximately 124.5 grams. Designed as both a wearable mask and an elegant necklace, this creation showcases exceptional artistry and creativity.

Silver Bike – The 67 KG Sterling Marvel

Ranka Jewellers pioneered Pune’s first fully functional Silver Bike, crafted using 67 kg of silver with 92.5% purity on a Royal Enfield Bullet frame. A team of 75 artisans brought this masterpiece to life over 4 months. This unique creation is valued at ₹55.5 lakh.
